Large family self catering accommodation in the Snowdonia National Park.  Sleeping up to 10 people these larger cottages are suitable for holidays with the extended family (assuming you’re brave enough) or groups of close friends. Gilfach Goch

Gilfach Goch is one of the nicest barn conversions we’ve had the pleasure of visiting. Roger and Lesley have done a fantastic job of transforming their 400 year old barn into a luxury holiday cottage. Capel-Maentwrog

You certainly won’t drive past this one by mistake. Capel-Maentwrog, a converted 19th Century Calvinistic Chapel is a genuine landmark building. But as impressive as the exterior is, our fondness for this chapel was only further enhanced once we stepped inside. Pant-Golau

Pant-Golau is Welsh for sunny or bright valley. And it certainly was the day we visited. This newly refurbished house is on the end of a charming little row of three cottages in a little hamlet called Pensarn. Tregantle

Tregantle is a large 4 bedroom house in the coastal village of Dyffryn Ardudwy in Snowdonia. This modern house can easily accommodate up to 10 people so perfect for extended family breaks by the sea. A fully fitted kitchen has all the facilities you would expect including dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Aweldyfi

My happy childhood holiday memories of sandy chips and wooden forks meant I really liked Aberdyfi from the minute we arrived. The wooden forks have been replaced by blue plastic ones but my chips drenched in vinegar tasted every bit as good. Maes-Y-Llan

Maes Y Llan, is the largest property in a row of three in the lovely village of Llanbedr. This spacious house, spread over 3 floors, is very well appointed and has achieved the Welsh Tourist Boards highest rating of 5 stars. Ysgubor

Pastel painted garden furniture sits on a manicured lawn. Shaded from the midday sun by a clematis, hanging heavily on a nearby trellis. The borders are full of flowers and a noisy finch twitters angrily as I try to photograph it all for the website. I wonder if Sue and Richard, the owners, would mind sorting out our garden some time. Tan-Y-Wenallt

Tan-Y-Wenallt is a ‘ty unnos’ or ‘one night house’. An ancient and well known tradition here in Wales. During the 18th century, a time of rapidly expanding population and poverty, it was generally agreed that a property could be built by squatters on common land so long as it was built within 24hrs, one day and one night. Llys Bennar

As we pushed past a fragrant camellia and crossed over a little stone bridge to get to the front door, we knew that Llys Bennar was going to be a bit special.
