This contemporary holiday cottage with panoramic views over Bala is in a truly idyllic location. The front veranda looks out over fields of green pasture that roll down to the lake synonymous with this popular market town. A modern well thought out layout and spacious comfortable bedrooms make the cottage a perfect base for a family-break in the country.

View from the patio

A large open plan living area stretches across one side of the cottage and includes a large kitchen, dining table and a small seating area. An arrangement that is great for those social family get-togethers or friendly reunions. A quarry tiled slate floor stretches across the room and large picture windows and some patio doors open out onto that front veranda and the magnificent view beyond.

A small adjoining lounge provides a more secluded space and a second tv for those wanting to escape and submerge themselves in a film or an episode of their favorite tv series.

There are three bedrooms in total. Each one includes one double bed and one single bed so the cottage can sleep up to a total of 9 guests. The first of the three bedrooms is on the ground floor, which is naturally great news for any guests with mobility problems. This bedroom also benefits from patio doors leading onto the rear lawn of the cottage. Next door, a ground floor bathroom includes a wc, washbasin and large shower cubicle.

The two bedrooms upstairs are very spacious and simply but tastefully furnished. A second larger family bathroom houses a large corner bath plus wc and washbasin.

Location

The cottage is sited within its own grounds on the outscirts of a small rural hamlet. A large private drive leads you to the side entrance of the cottage whilst a wooden decking area spans across the front of the house. A large lawn curves around the other two sides.

It’s just over a mile down into Bala so a 25 minute walk or 5 minutes in the car. It might take you a bit longer to walk back up the hill. Especially if you’ve had a good night with some of the locals. There’s a nice selection of small shops, restaurants, and pubs in town and always a bustling friendly atmosphere. The town is of course famous for its watersports. The lake is a natural base for sailing, wind surfing and canoeing whilst the nearby Tryweryn River is a world famous centre for white water rafting and kayaking.
