Tan-Yr-Allt is a large self catering cottage high above the Conwy valley in North Wales. 5 Minutes from the famous Bodnant Gardens and half way between the popular and picturesque towns of Conwy and Betws Y Coed, the cottage offers a great base from which to explore this rich and varied landscape.
A large comfortable lounge is located to the right of the front door. Here, an impressive stone inglenook fireplace houses a handsome cast iron living flame fire. Deep set windows and a wooden beamed ceiling ensures an authentic country cottage look and feel. From here we can step through to the conservatory. A wonderful space for catching the morning sun as you enjoy your first coffee of the day.
We head back through the lounge and the entrance hallway to get to the split-level kitchen diner. Pale green kitchen units sit under a beach effect worktop. An electric oven, hob and dishwasher are included whilst a large fridge freezer and washing machine are housed in the adjoining utility room. A couple of steps lead up to the raised dining area. Large south facing windows look out over the garden and the valley floor beyond and fill the space with a wonderful natural light throughout the day. Just off the central staircase we also have a convenient ground floor wc and washbasin.
There are four bedrooms upstairs. The larger master bedroom has a spacious en suite shower room as well as an extra sofa bed if required. The second and third bedrooms also house a double bed each. The fourth bedroom is smaller and has a set of children’s bunk beds.
The first floor family bathroom has a shower over bath arrangement as well as a wc and washbasin.

Non-residents are made very welcome and the lavish lunch and dinner menu are worth considering.
Jump in the car and within 10 minutes you can be strolling the streets of the medieval walled town of Conwy. Or if in the summer you may prefer
to stroll along of the ever-popular seaside town of Llandudno. A quiet but regular train service will also ferry you to these destinations if you prefer to leave the car at home.
Head 10 minutes south, again by car or train, and you’ll find yourself in the popular and picturesque town of Betws Y Coed, famous for its friendly tearooms, outdoor shops and adventure activities. Llanberis and the slopes of Snowdon are to the West and along the way you’ll past the longest zip line in the world at Bethesda and the world renowned Plas Menai National Watersports center near Caernarfon. On the way back home you if you have some energy left you might like to do some mountain biking on the Marian Trail.
