This three bedroom bothy set within a large baronial style manor house is beautifully furnished with a simple elegance to match the architecture and gardens of the larger Estate. Located some 3 miles outside the lovely little seaside town of Criccieth in North Wales the location is equally appealing.

Luxury accommodation

An open plan kitchen-diner includes modern fitted units with and electric oven, microwave, hob and dishwasher. The dining area is more formal with elegant mahogany dining chairs surrounding a dark wood dining table. Two large symmetrical windows overlook the cobbled courtyard to the rear of the manor house.

A separate and useful utility room houses a fridge/freezer and washing machine. There is also a large ground floor bathroom which has a shower over bath arrangement as well as a wc and washbasin.

The adjoining living room is beautifully presented in an Art Deco style with a rich red leather sofa adorned with mustard pillows and carefully chosen fixtures and fittings. Opposing windows overlook the courtyard as well as a smaller more private patio area reserved for guests at the bothy.

The wonderful Art Deco styling continues upstairs in the bedrooms of which there are three bedrooms in total. The first double room includes a large walk in wardrobe and is located next to the smaller first floor bathroom. The second bedroom includes two single beds and the third central bedroom has just the one single bed. Minimal yet refined furniture helps accentuate the architectural style of this historic building in each of the three rooms.

Location

Guests are encouraged to explore the grounds of the manor house. Some of the formal gardens are overgrown now but the outline of the park designed by the famous Thomas Mawson in 1901 is still very evident. The expansive lawns to the East of the house will provide more than enough space to tire even the most enthusiastic of children and a private little patio area next to the bothy provides guests a quiet refuge when required.

Criccieth, 5 minutes to the west, is a lovely seaside town with a selection of excellent restaurants, curiosity shops and world famous ice cream. The larger harbour town of Porthmadog is 5 minutes to the east and has more cafes, restaurants and a larger supermarket. There are naturally lots of things to do in the area including miles of sandy coastline to discover and high peaked mountains to explore.
