Ysgubor
Property Type: Cottages, Featured, Internet | WiFi, Sleeps 6-7, Sleeps 8-10, Tal Y Bont

Pastel painted garden furniture sits on a manicured lawn. Shaded from the midday sun by a clematis, hanging heavily on a nearby trellis. The borders are full of flowers and a noisy finch twitters angrily as I try to photograph it all for the website. I wonder if Sue and Richard, the owners, would mind sorting out our garden some time.
Ysgubor is a converted 18th century granary one of the larger cottages in a row of 4. The front door opens up onto a comfortable lounge with digital TV and music system etc. The kitchen diner has a country cottage feel and is well equipped. There’s also a large en-suite bedroom on the ground floor. Some beautiful antique furniture adds a touch of class to each room.
Upstairs there’s 3 more bedrooms plus a second bathroom. One large bedroom with 3 single beds and across the hall a very cute child’s bedroom leads onto the master bedroom. All the bedrooms upstairs benefit from large skylights which fill the room with soft light each morning.

Location
Ysgubor is a beach lover’s paradise. One of the nicest and cleanest beaches in this part of North Wales is just a short walk away. For us and our two young children it was a daily pilgrimage. Buckets, spades, towels, sandwiches, lots of water, and then a short shuffle in our flip flops to the beach. Stopping only to send Dad back for the forgotten sun cream.
Lots of other things to do in the area as well. A selection of pubs and restaurant if you eventually tire of the BBQ in the garden. Historic castles and monuments are dotted everywhere on the map. Barmouth, a popular seaside town is 3 miles to the south and The Royal St Davids, a beautiful 18hole links golf course, is a short drive to the north. A pair of breeding Ospreys near Tremadog are also attracting a lot of new visitors and finally, the hills behind the village, offer plenty of options for even the most enthusiastic walker.

18th Century Converted Granary

Beautiful countryside, great accommodation. Very homely for our family reunion. Would love to spend more time here.
Thank you very much for the wonderful cottage! Will certainly keep this place in our ‘Best Address’ book! We definitely plan to come back! Wales was amazing!
Had such a lovely week here. Great cottage, really suited my family even our toddlers who had so much fun in the garden watching the cows in the nearby fields and the sheep being sheared. The local beach was amazing so too was the surrounding countryside. Short walks to shops and pubs. Couldn’t have been better. We hope to return.
We had a wonderful sunset barbecue on the beach – hardly anyone else there, lovely memories – especially as our son made a surprise visit from Australia to join us!
We’ve had a lovely break here, during the autumn half term. This is a great location for beaches, mountain walking, and exploring Snowdonia. The cottage was a warm and comfortable retreat when the weather closed in.
The cottage was lovely, and being met by a freshly baked loaf of bread and stack of cakes was a particularly nice surprise, which made us feel very welcome. Garden was perfect for BBQ, well equipped kitchen, and only a short walk from the beach. One of the bedrooms being v. small wasn´t ideal for a group of 4 couples, however the owners did inform us of this when booking. All in all v nice.
Although we came equiped, it was nice to find tea, sugar and milk ready to make a cup of tea (normally the cupboard is bare) this together with fresh bread and home-made cakes made for a lovely welcome. Pretty garden area and pleasant, clean, comfortable cottage. Short distance to Harlech and Barmouth for gift shopping and beautiful beach.
As the cottage is advertised as disability accessible, I would like to make a small suggestion for a seat or stool in the downstairs shower.
Had a lovely relaxing break. Great for the kids. Beach is fantastic and the cottage was lovely. Would love to come back for a longer stay.
Dear Louise and Gwion
Thank you for your e mail unfortunately I could not get into the guest book.
However I would like to inform you that all of us were impressed with Ysgubor cottage .It was very well equipped and suited our requirements. We were also pleased with its location so convenient for the beach and also to Harlech.I am ashamed to say it was my first visit to that part of North Wales being a southerner. We wlll certainly return in the future.
I also met Richard and Sue who were most hospitable and the supply of cakes and bread on arrival was very thoughtful.
Thank you once again for making all the arrangements.
