TOP 10 THINGS A CHILD SHOULD DO IN SNOWDONIA
The National Trust launched a hugely popular campaign a few years ago listing the top 50 things a child should do before they were 11 and 3/4. It took them away from their screens and encouraged parents to get their children to embrace the great outdoors. Everything on that list can be done in Snowdonia and if you’re here for a couple of weeks, it would be a great thing to do. However, if you just want tick a few things off, here are the top 10 things a child should do in Snowdonia…

You could do a mountain, but if you are looking for a more gentle ascent, the Roman Steps up by Cwm Buchan or Molfre in Dyffryn Ardudwy could be a good choice.

The Mawddach trail is perfect. A 7 mile flat stretch running from Barmouth to Dolgeallau with a pub at the end for a drink and a packet of crisps!

The Rabbit Farm just outside Criccieth or the Childrens Farm Park in Llanfair are perfect places to go and see the animals. We also have some lovely holiday cottages based on working farms: DIONI HOLIDAY COTTAGES ON A FARM

Snowdonia is home to the National White Water Rafting Centre where they also offer canoeing. There isn’t a better place to try!

We can get alot of rain here in Snowdonia and so rather than running for shelter when it arrives, embrace it and dance around in the rain – it’s so much fun when you do!
CATCH A CRAB
With all the harbours, there are some great crabbing spots. Barmouth is great and makes for a fun evening. Everything you need for a bit of crabbing is availiable in the local shops.
