Easter weekend is upon us and to help you make the most of what is on offer in the area, here is a list of the top 10 things to do this Easter in North Wales:

SURF SNOWDONIA

Kabuki and Cafe Mambo Ibiza are coming to Surf Snowdonia on Saturday 14th April for a one day festival. Taking place on the edge of the lagoon, there will be state of the art sound and light shows with both indoor and outdoor stages. To book tickets, please click here.

ZIPWORLD

As of 31st March, Zip World open the doors to Velocity 2. Their fastest zip line just got faster, now reaching speeds of upto 125mph!  If you haven’t been introduced to the wonderful world of Zip World yet, you should certainly give it a go. They offer 11 different types of adventure activity throughout North Wales including trampolines underground in a cave and a roller coaster in the forest. GLASFYN PARC

This is a great place to visit with children as there are lots of activities to do including karting, wake-boarding, archery, bowling, SUP, clay pigeon shooting etc all at very reasonable prices. There is a cafe at the park or if you bring your own food, plenty of picnic benches to use. As Easter is early this year, we might not be ready for beach days just yet so this will be a great day out as an alternative. For more information, please click here.

THE TWITS

Everyone loves the Twits by Roald Dahl! If you are staying on the Llyn Peninsula or near Criccieth, The Starlight Players are putting on two performances of the Twits on Easter Saturday, 31st March in the Criccieth memorial Hall. Whilst it is an amateur performance, it is sure to be a winner – Starlight Players is who Russel Grant works with when putting on performances in North Wales. To book tickets, please click here.

COED Y BRENIN

Again, while we wait for the weather to warm up for those beach days, Coed Y Brenin is a must. Mountain bike, running and walking trails are all available here and some of the best in the country. They are running a number of workshops for children during the Easter holidays, including art and nature walks alongside the trails that are open daily. For more information, please click here.

EASTER EGG HUNTS

Cadburys have sponsored the National Trust with chocolate eggs this year and so there are lots of Easter Egg Hunts being run in the North Wales National Trust Properties. A couple of our favourite local ones are at Penrhyn Castle near Bangor where you have to solve riddles to find the eggs or going one step further, Conwy Castle has dragon eggs to find using your smart phone…. pokemon eat your heart out! MINECRAFT LEGO WORKSHOPS

Caernarfon Castle are running a series of Minecraft Lego workshops on the 28th and 31st March and 1st April. There are two sessions each day where children will build huge castles out of lego, animate them and give them a Minecraft makeover…. this is a dream come true for many!!! VISITING A FARM

It’s lambing season and everywhere you go this Easter holiday, you wont fail to see all the baby lambs skipping across the fields. Visiting a farm and feeding the lambs by bottle is a great experience and where else better to do it than North Wales!
