BODNANT GARDEN | CONWY

Owned by the National Trust and set over 80 acres, Bodnant Garden is one of the most beautiful gardens in the UK. There is a wide range of interesting and beautiful plants from all over the world, particularly China, North America, Europe and Japan that are suited to the Welsh climate and soil.

PORTMEIRION | PENRHYDEUDRAETH

The magical village created by Clough Williams Ellis in the 1920’s is spectacular in its self, but along side it are a formal garden within the village as well as a 70 acre headland known as the Gwyllt ‘Wild’ garden.


 

PLAS BRONDANW | LLANFROTHEN

Inspired by the gardens of renaissance Italy, strong architectural influences are evident within the Plas gardens, stone walls, topiary and avenues of trees leading the eye to the dramatic back drop of the mountains beyond. It is said to be Clough William Ellis’s most beautiful creations.

The gardens and landscape at Plas Newydd consist of 169 acres of woodland and parkland, including 40 acres of gardens with an arboretum and Rhododendron Garden which is said to be the finest in Wales.
