Want to Go Sheep Walking in Snowdonia?
What you will see more of than anything else in the rambling fields of Snowdonia, are of course, sheep. It is said there are 4 sheep to every person in Wales. Local school girl, Lois Jones has taken inspiration and has set up ‘Sheep Walk Snowdonia’ from her parents farm in Trawsfynydd.
Sheep Walk Snowdonia is where you can go and take part in a guided walk along the shores of Llyn Trawsfynydd with a pedigree Zwartbles sheep in hand. Lois experienced first hand at shows how interested people are over this breed of sheep and how sociable they are. So she decided to throw caution to the wind and set up a company where you can go and walk her sheep…. And it has been a roaring success.
The whole process takes about 90 minutes. On arrival to the farm, you choose your sheep and help harness it up and then you’re off on a walk around the lake. It isn’t a hard walk and so is open to all ages and abilities. Once back, you have the chance to feed the sheep and put them back in the pen for a rest.
We think this is a brilliant idea, made even better that is it is the brainchild of a budding young entrepreneur. For more information, please visit their website where you will find more information and details: https://sheepwalksnowdonia.wales
