The gardens of this property are really beautiful and have incredible views out over the Dwyryd Estuary which include Portmeirion Village, the Snowdonia mountains, the picturesque village of Borth-y-Gest and the blue hills of the Lleyn Peninsula. Tides and weather make this an ever-changing, ever-intriguing vista, and on fine summer evenings the sunset over Portmeirion can take your breath away. There are 3 acres of garden, with outside seating and hidden paths that wind their way through mature shrubs, to help you escape, relax and make the most of the space. The wildlife pond means that children should be well supervised. The property is in Talsarnau: a small, quiet village, but it does include that all-important pub well within walking distance. The house is a 5-minute drive from Harlech, with its World Heritage Site castle, amazing beach, shops and cafes. The famous Portmeirion Village lies directly across the Estuary and a little further up is the harbour town of Porthmadog with its large selection of shops and amenities.Tremeifion is perfectly positioned for access to villages and towns in the Snowdonia mountains, such as Blaenau Ffestiniog, where you will find the slate caverns, Zip World and Bounce Below, Bala (National Whitewater Centre and water sports on Llyn Tegid), Betws-y-Coed (Swallow Falls), and Llanberis (Electric Mountain and the Snowdon Railway). The area has so much on offer from mountain biking at Coed-y-Brenin, surfing at Surf Snowdonia, miles of clean, sandy beaches, lakes, rivers and mountains, walking, climbing, biking…..the options are endless.
