This detached three bedroom holiday cottage in village location is beautifully furnished and ideally located for any guests wanting to explore the Snowdonia National Park. Some lovely decor, antique furniture and original period features create a holiday cottage that oozes both style and comfort.
A heavy solid wood front door opens onto a spacious and luxurious front lounge. A large sofa and armchairs face onto a welcoming log burner set within a large inglenook fireplace. While a couple of lamps dotted here and there provide that all-important soft lighting.
The adjoining kitchen diner is more modern in appearance. Simple clean lines and glazed tiling helps create a space that is bright and practical. A big white Belfast sink sits along side an even bigger cooking range set within plain white kitchen units. Pastel painted dining chairs sit around an oval dining table at the other end of the room.
Back through into the lounge, we continue through to a second sitting room. The added luxury of a second completely separate lounge is naturally great if you want to escape the noise of the telly and finish that book you brought with you on holiday. Again, the room is beautifully furnished and sure to help you feel relaxed and at ease.
Before going upstairs we should wonder out to the balcony. This is another lovely space for you to relax, looking as it does over the valley and the beautiful little village church. There is also more outside seating on a small patio area on the ground floor.
Upstairs, a large sunlit landing leads off to the three bedrooms and a luxurious family bathroom. The bathroom includes an enabled roll top bath as well as a large modern shower, wc and washbasin. Two of the bedrooms are double rooms while the third, slightly smaller bedroom has a single bed. The bedding and linen is spotless and the ornaments and fixtures are perfect in every detail.

Maentwrog is a sleepy little village on the banks of the river Dwyryd in the Vale of Ffestiniog. There’s a nice pub on the outskirts of the village, which is walking distance from the cottage, but you will have to drive to get to the food shops or other restaurants.
But Maentwrog is a great central location for exploring the National Park. The harbour town of Porthmadog is about 10 minutes to the north. Lots of shops here including a couple of supermarkets. Harlech, 10 minutes to the west, has some fantastic sandy beaches and the world famous castle of course. A 10 minute drive east will bring you to Blaenau Ffestiniog which has some great tourist attractions including zip wires, down hill mountain biking and underground caving.
Nearer to home, there are lots of walks accessible right from your front door. The Ffestiniog stream railway which runs nearby will also help you get up into the hills surrounding the cottage. And the famous Italianette village of Portmeirion will be a must for most guests.
