A very lovely place to stay. The house was nicely furnished with a homely touch. The beds were comfortable and the welcome goodies were much appreciated! I would recommend staying there.

We had such a wonderful stay! An amazing and cosy cottage with amazing garden and sound of the running stream. Perfect location. We went to the local beer festival on the weekend which was great fun. We will definitely be back!

This is a lovely comfortable home in a perfect location for exploring the surrounding area, Weather was kind so it was ideal to spend time in the lovely garden, listening to the river and watching the sheep in the opposite field. Owners were welcoming and on hand to answer any questions. Would highly recommend and hope to be back.

WOW! We booked this stunning house for our annual walking weekend with friends. As soon as we pulled into the drive, we were blown away by the beautiful garden, mostly azaleas, which were in full bloom.The kitchen/dining area was perfect for our evening meals, in fact, because we were blessed with such lovely weather, we mostly dined around the huge garden table, where we could enjoy the Mountain Views, and the listen to the river running beside the garden.
Super well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, spotlessly clean, and lots of walks from the door, what more could you ask for, Oh! and such friendly hosts, Henrique and Sioned left a lovely welcome hamper, and popped in for a chat and a beer, we will definitely be back.

Restful, clean and idyllic with plenty of space.
The owners are on hand if needed.
All round a delightful spot and perfect when you want to get away.

Another wonderful stay in this beautiful house! The owners are lovely too! Last year we came in may and this year we came in July. Both are exceptional times of year to go.
The house itself is clean, and is a home from home comfort, the beds are so comfortable and everything about the stay I loved!

What a gem! We were a large(ish) family group of 5 adults 1 toddler 1 2 month old baby and 2 dogs. The cottage was everything we could gave wished for. It catered for all our needs. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The welcome pack was so thoughtful (the Bara Brith was the best I’ve ever had). Situated in a beautiful area with lots of walks and waterfalls close at hand. The icing on the cake was the river Artro running at the side of the property. Lots of room in the extensive garden to sit and admire as it flowed by. All totally safe for pets and children alike. Fantastic pet friendly pub (The Victoria Inn) at the bottom of the road where we all had a very pleasant afternoon having lunch. We had a really lovely week. Highly recommended

Fantastic family house really well equipped, beautifully looked after and very comfortable. The location was fabulous, with plenty of walks with the dog, helped with the weather being glorious. Welcome pack with basics to make a cuppa, wine and the delicious bara brith with jams was very much appreciated after our journey. The owners were very helpful, on hand if needed, but out of the way if not. Would highly recommend this gorgeous property, it does not disappoint.

I agree with all the other reviews….a beautiful well maintained clean house with all the facilities that we needed for a week’s break and helpful owners next door, but not intrusive. Easy to find…..postcode took us right to the door. Situated near to Barmouth and Harlech and within easy reach of Anglesey, Conwy, Portmeirion. Driving was convenient and comfortable.
Enjoyed the freshly made cake immensely…..a nice touch…..plus the jam!
Mobile phone signal virtually nonexistent, but the Wi-Fi works well so no communication problems. Jigsaws, games and plenty of books available. Also some tourist leaflets to read. Three TVs so no arguments if you have children. Netflix available.
Can recommend the Victoria Inn pub in Llanbedr…..but you do need to book a table most of the time.

We much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house, it was well-equipped and a thoroughly pleasant place to be during the wet weather. Sioned couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful.

What a fabulous place! We booked for 5 friends and we had a lovely midweek, October stay. The weather wasn’t perfect but we managed drinks on the beautiful patio on two afternoons. We really appreciated the thoughtful gifts, especially the yummy bara brith; comfortable beds, quality bedding and towels and cosy accommodation made everything so enjoyable. Just a word of warning though, if you are a group of friends you should draw lots for the downstairs bedroom; it’s by far the best!
I would also have appreciated a bit of guidance on local walks, although we weren’t short of things to do or places to go.
Sioned was friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.

We had a wonderful holiday – big thanks to the owners for creating such a unique place. We enjoyed the garden, listened to the river and wondered after a lot of rain how big it suddenly became. A dreamlike setting! The house itself lacks nothing, a super equipped kitchen, great bedrooms and bathrooms and a different great view of nature from all the windows. We have also made a lot of trips, it is a perfect base for many destinations in North Wales. We especially love the beaches with the view of the mountains. We always enjoyed coming back in the evenings via the special road to our home far away from home. Thank you, we will definitely travel from Germany to this special place again.

Where do I begin.Well the owners are so pleasant and helpful.Welcoming cake,milk,jam and wine and you feel so priviliged to enter this stunning property.This is the best holiday cottage that we have rented for our large family group, ever.The setting is so idyllic.You look out on mountains and down onto the river running through the bottom of the huge and beautiful garden.Amazing hosts.Great decor and facilities and views to die for.We shall return.

We loved everything about this house and it’s gorgeous grounds. So comfortable and lovely quality bedding and towels. The owners are so friendly as well. Love the view from the family bathroom but all rooms have great views. We used both lounges so people could watch their preferred programmes. My dog Dougal had a fantastic time in safety. Thank you for providing such a beautiful place to escape to. Xxxx

Absolutely great, wonderful house, location, & importantly owners, who made our stay truly memorable. We were a bit unlucky with the weather but because of the house layout, space & facilities together with a stunning patio & gardens we made the most of the sunshine when it did put in an appearance, plus we had a barbie & 2 nights with the chiminea on the patio.
Beyond the house the local beaches are exceptional, lots of good walks from the house (buy an OS map) & an adventurous drive further up the road to the mountains, wonderful! by the way, visit the slate quarry just down the road at Llanfair, we don’t know how lucky we are when you see what people had to do to earn a living just a hundred or so years ago, awe inspiring.

Stayed with my family (6 adults, 2 children and 2 doggos) for a week. First impressions were wow…. everything about this property was so loved 😍, going for walks around the surrounding areas were amazing! Even down to kerbside plants that we would have in our gardens. Definitely recommend the waterfall nearby, and all the surrounding areas you will always find a gem.

We look forward to returning next year

A wonderful property, magnificent views located in a perfect spot. Gardens were just stunning topped off with the River flowing through. Hosts were very helpful. If you are looking for tranquility and relaxation this is it.

This is the most friendly, well appointed and large house imaginable – for a cosy holiday. The views are stunning, the atmosphere both in the house and garden serene. The owners friendly and helpful.
We booked for 6 adult friends- and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend Artro. One word of caution- if you have an electric car. Nearest fast chargers are Bangor or Bala – both about 55 minutes away- so plan your days out accordingly. Local one at Port Macon Tesco is a trickle charge.

Lovely cottage in a quiet, tranquil location but close enough to Shell Island, Barmouth, Snowdonia, Zip World etc.

Cottage was immaculate, very clean and well appointed. Lovely jams, nice bottle of wine and some Easter eggs for the children was a nice touch. Loads of really nice walks nearby like Roman Steps at Cym Bychan and across to the nearby waterfalls.

Very dog friendly with soft pets rugs and fenced in garden and gate. Really enjoyed our stay and we’ll definitely be back soon! Many thanks for letting us stay.

We had a brilliant holiday in the most amazing setting. The house had everything we needed. Sioned and Henrique were extremely warm and welcoming. We really felt like we were at a home away from home.

Lovely house, beautiful gardens you can sit and listen to the river running through the garden, had great weather and was nice once it was dark to light the chimaera outside and just sit with a glass of wine and watch the flames and listen to the river, very relaxing..

Y Geulan was a beautifully presented home with amazing views and gardens. The welcome pack with Bara Brith, teas and coffee and wine were very thoughtful. Great location for Barmouth and further a field.

Simply Wow. What a place to stay and for the icing on the cake a great weeks weather for middle of October. Artro is a beautiful home tucked away with only the sound of the odd car and the river meandering down the hillside. Beautiful well equipped house in stunning grounds. Lovely owners nearby and very happy to help. Highly recommend.

What a beautiful house in a stunning part of the world.
We even had the most amazing weather for the entire week so couldn’t have asked for more.
Lots to do and see in the area. Gorgeous, almost deserted, beaches, excellent walking for the more energetic amongst us, castles and, last but not least, Zip World. Apparently, it was AWESOME and an experience that will last a lifetime. (I stayed at the house with the dog!)

Extremely well appointed Cottage with beautiful fixtures and fittings especially enjoyed all the textiles and colourfulness of the cottage. Very comfortable and spacious. Enjoyed the extra touchesSuch as the bottle of wine Bara brith And jam and honey awaiting us. As we were the first people to stay in the cottage post lockdown we were only able to enjoy four nights away but would thoroughly recommend to families.

Fantastic cottage. So comfortable and with garden views to take your breath away. The cottage and location provide lots of options. You can hole up and chill out in the comfortable lounges or you can wander through the amazing countryside or breathtaking beaches. It has it all. Superbly equipped, there is everything you need. A special mention for Sioned and Henrique – they were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Perfect hosts. We are definitely coming back!

Wonderful holiday in a well equipped house. A lovely walk to the waterfalls from the house and the coastline had some wonderful beaches that our dogs adored running along. Sioned and Henrique were wonderful hosts.

We stopped in this lovely cottage for 5 nights at the end of July 2019. The house is beautifully decorated and had just about everything that we needed.
The house itself is in a lovely quiet location but only a short drive to the local pubs/ restaurant.
We were lucky enough to get a hot enough day to visit the beach which was only a short drive, so perfect for us.
All in all a lovely holiday
