Candryll is a five bedroom holiday cottage with stunning views. Sleeping nine, it is set in between the very popular towns of Conwy and Betws Y Coed. Offering the best of both worlds; Candryll is set in a rural location but is within an easy and short driving distance from local shops and many of great things Snowdonia has to offer.
The cottage itself is set in the Conwy Valley looking out over to the Snowdonia mountains. When looking out of the sitting room window, you would not be alone if it crossed your mind that Julie Andrews might suddenly appear singing ‘the hills are alive…’ the views really are that good; especially when the mountains are capped in snow.
Inside, the cottage has a minimal, retro feel and is pristine in terms of its presentation. The large sitting room, with its big picture window, allows you to lose yourself in those views. The kitchen diner located at the back of the house again is minimal in its decor, but the large farm style dining room table is a welcome addition and certainly where you’ll spend your evenings eating good food and planning your trips for the week. There’s also a useful utility room for your outdoor gear. You will find everything you need to cater for your party during your stay.
There’s one single bedroom on the ground floor and four more double bedrooms upstairs. All very spacious and offering breathtaking views to wake up to each morning. The traditional Welsh blankets are a great feature of each of the rooms and certainly remind me of my childhood holidays in the Welsh mountains. Two family bathroom upstairs one with a shower cubicle and one with a shower over bath arrangement and there is also a downstairs wc and basin. As with the rest of the house, everything is spic and span!

Candryll is located in between Conwy and Betws-Y-Coed. The house does have its own private garden, but once over the hedge, as far as the eye can see are rolling green hills with lots of public footpaths for you to explore.
Llanrwst is 2 miles down the hill. There’s a nice collection of cafes and pubs in town and a couple of grocery shops to help you stock up for the week. A quick trip in the car and you’ll see a lot to do in the surrounding area. 10 minutes towards Betws Y Coed and you will come to the exciting Fforest Coaster, a roller coaster weaving its way through the trees. If you still want a bit more adventure, nearby Surf Snowdonia, an inland wave lagoon, is another must for a lot of our guests.
Head into Betws y Coed itself and you have a fantastic town with lots of shopping, cafes and restaurants, and of course the Swallow Falls. The famous Fairy Glen is a 5-minute drive out of the town centre.
Head North from the cottage to Conwy and you have the Castle and the town of Conwy itself which is a lovely old market town. Llandudno is a little further along and here you will find the quintessential Victoria seaside town.
