On the ground floor we have a large kitchen-diner that includes plenty of cupboard units, a fridge freezer, and washing machine. At the other end of the room a dining table and chairs sits under a window overlooking a lovely garden.

A spacious but cozy lounge sits on the other side of the entrance hall. A large inglenook fireplace houses a real fire and is flanked by comfortable leather sofas and a large flat screen TV. The original oak beams and stone hearth provide a real sense of tradition and history.

There are three bedrooms upstairs. Two double rooms and one smaller child’s room with bunk beds. So up to four adults and two children can be accommodated. There is a simple but spacious bathroom with large bath plus a separate shower room.

The owners, Glenys and Griffith John live in the house next door and are always on hand and happy to help if you are in need of anything.

Location

A patio area immediately in front of the house accommodates a large hot tub as well as the usual dining table and chairs and BBQ. A large and beautiful lawn stretches out in front down to the boundary of the farm and fields of grazing sheep. A perfect spot for relaxing after a walk in the hills or a stroll along the beach.

Abersoch nearby as been a very fashionable and popular holiday destination for generations but the farm offers guests the opportunity to explore quieter less busy beauty spots as well. There are lots of hidden coves in the area and quiet country walks will help you experience the true Llyn Peninsula perhaps.

The fishing village of Aberdaron is certainly worth a visit as are the beaches of Llanbedrog and Porth Dinllaen. The coastal path leading around Uwchmynydd is breathtaking and a day trip to Bardsey Island is a great option if the weather is calm enough.

The larger harbour town of Pwllheli is about 30 minutes to the east and has lots of shops and restaurants. Caernarfon Castle and the mountains of Snowdonia are a little further on again.

Enjoyed a fabulous weekend at this lovely cottage. The Thomas’s are excellent hosts making us feel really welcome. Setting is spectacular & in an excellent location for site seeing & local attractions. Even though we brought the snow with us it just enhanced our stay, hot tub in the snow is definitely recommended!!

A great little cottage on a working farm. The owners made us feel very welcome and were always on hand if we needed anything. The hot tub was an added bonus and it was great sitting under the stars enjoying a glass of fizz!
On arrival there was a fantastic fire waiting for us and also made up the next day!

This was our 3rd time staying at this cottage and it won’t be our last. The hosts are so welcoming, making a roaring fire for when we arrived and prepared us one for the next evening when we were out. Loved sitting in the hot tub of an evening (and morning whilst waiting for my boyfriend to finally wake up haha). Loved the fresh air and even though it’s not for everyone – we loved having a play with the farm dogs! Such a great place to come for the weekend, we tell all our friends about this website.

  8. Emma Griffiths says:

  9. Audrey Large says:

Great place to stay if you’re looking for peace & quiet. Farmer Thomas is a good host. However, if you don’t like dogs or ‘country air’ probably not the place for you. We do so it was fine.

  10. Craig Dutton says:

A great place to stay. We loved every minute of it. The view from the hot tub was wonderful and sitting in front of the open fire was so relaxing We’ll definitely be back again and will be recommending this place to our friends and family.
