Holiday Home With Sea Views In Llanfairfechan | Uwch-Y-Mor

Uwch Y Mor is a three bedroom holiday home with sea views in Llanfairfechan, a Victorian seaside village situated between Bangor and Conwy. A traditional stone cottage, it is beautifully refurbished giving a warm and inviting feel with lots of character.

The main entrance brings you straight into the sitting room. A lovely and inviting room with a log fire as the main feature. Exposed beams mixed with antique pieces of furniture gives this room a really great feel and will certainly be a place to get your downtime in.

Through to a galley style kitchen/diner area with underfloor heating, this room has a modern farmhouse feel to it. The cream wooden kitchen units, dresser and traditional wooden table and chairs gives character without feeling overcrowded. With all modern appliances and plenty of storage room, there is everything you need to cater for your group.

Off the back of the kitchen is a utility room with a washing machine and dryer, shoe racks and drying racks for coats the backdoor which leads out to the garden. The family bathroom is located at the far end of the utility room which has underfloor heating, a bath over shower, WC and washbasin – again the use of old traditional light fittings against modern tiles and fixtures really give a great look.

One of the double bedrooms is located on the ground floor – having kept the original features of the house, this room includes a beautiful fireplace.

Upstairs brings us to two more bedrooms; another double and a twin. Both rooms have original oak floorboards and antique pieces dotted around the rooms – all beautifully put together. There is a WC with washbasin up here too.

The cottage was warm and cosy and perfect for our needs. It was lovely to have a well stocked larder to call on if we had forgotten anything. And the welcome gift of Welsh produce was very thoughtful. The location was perfect for exploring this part of Wales, but the highlight for us was sitting on the terrace and enjoying the sea view with a G&T!

We came with our two ageing parents and it was suitable – one in the downstairs bedroom and one in the twin bedroom.

They could not praise you enough for the cleanliness and warmth of the cottage.

All our needs were catered for and thank you for the extra welsh food items – a lovely thought.

Phil and I enjoyed the walks in the morning, Aber Falls, one directly behind the cottage and two larger ones on the North Wales Coastal Path.

In the afternoons there was plenty to see locally, for the older guests:
Penrhyn Castle, Conwy Bay, Anglesey and Llandudno.

A beautiful cottage and fabulous scenery.

Thank you – Annette, Phil Leach – Newtown.

What a lovely cottage! Fantastically appointed and very well positioned. Had some traditional Welsh February weather but didn’t stop us visiting Caernarfon Castle (brilliant) and Penrhyn. A fun walk in the general direction of Aber Falls and some car trekking through the Llanberis Pass. Looking forward to our return visit. Thank you so much for your attention to details and esp the Welsh cakes! Yum!

We had an amazing time at the cottage. It is homely, has a soul and is warmly decorated. A true gem to spend a week away and relax. For anyone reading this we suggest exploring Anglesey, Snowdonia National Park but also venture further afield to cities such as Chester and Liverpool. Gwen thank you so much for allowing us to get to know Wales through your cottage. We will be back.

We’ve had a most relaxing week with our two boys aged 8 and 10. The cottage was clean, cosy and very well equipped and it was lovely to receive the welcome flowers and treats on arrival – thank you. Lots to do and see, the views are wonderful here and so peaceful and tranquil. We had lovely walks on Anglesey and went to great Orm and castle in Caernarfon. The boys enjoyed our week here with the weather being kind to us. Beds very comfy, which always a bonus! Would definitely recommend. Thanks again

I have had the most delightful week’s holiday here and thank you once again for letting me stay. The cottage was clean, warm, welcoming and I’ve found it all very comfortable. I ate my breakfast every day in the little porch/conservatory. The views are just wonderful. It certainly is a magical place especially when you catch the sunset and the lights fade over the sands. How many 1000s or even millions of people before us have stood on this spot and watched that breathtaking sight
