Parlwr Godro, a one bedroom luxury cottage with a hot tub near Conwy. Everything you could want from a holiday cottage. A beautiful property in a beautiful location. Modern and traditional interiors sit so beautifully in this stone cottage.
The building itself is a converted dairy barn (its name translates to Milking Parlour) and the conversion has been done to a high spec. Think New York loft style interiors alongside traditional welsh sheepskins and, wood burners and you’ll get the idea of what is in store. The adjoining boot room come bike store comes complete with wood burner and hot tub set on raised outside decking. Everything is here for you to enjoy your stay, both inside and out.
The cottage is set on one level and is open plan. As you come through the front door, you’re greeted by a light and airy room where you’ll find the kitchen and sitting area all under an apex ceiling. The kitchen is a lovely mix of muted greys and wood and has everything you need to cook up a storm; all new appliances and a lovely social set up.
The sitting room is minimal in terms of furniture and works perfectly. A brown, leather L shaped sofa takes centre stage and sits opposite the modern wood burner and a grey rug – it’s all the cushions and sheepskins here that make it feel so special.
The adjoining ensuite bedroom is home to a brushed steel Superking bed and minimal furniture which all works well. The bathroom has a modern shower, WC and washbasin.

The cottage is surrounded by agricultural and grazing land on the outskirts of Conwy- remote and yet within easy access to all major sites and attractions that the area has to offer. The cottage itself has its own lawn with a large covered decking area where you will find a wood burner to sit around in the evenings along with a hot tub – it’s really idyllic and makes the most of being able to be outside taking into account the limitations the Welsh weather can sometimes throw at us!
In terms of location, its good. You look straight down on Surf Snowdonia across the valley and it is about 10mins away by car.
15-20 minutes from Llandudno, you have the Great Orme, the dry ski slope and everything that the Victorian seaside town of Llandudno has to offer. Lots of great places to eat and drink and just a lovely place to spend time. Conwy is a different kettle of fish being an old market town and home of course to the famous castle. Smaller than Llandudno, there are lots of independent shops set on cobbled streets.
15 minutes in the other direction will take you into the heart of Snowdonia and Betws-Y-Coed. A fantastic village with lots of history and the Swallow Falls which are not to be missed. A great selection of shops and cafes and ice-cream will ensure you enjoy your visit here. One of the three Zip World sites is here where you will find the Forest Coaster. You look straight down on Surf Snowdonia across the valley and is about 10mins away by car.
From climbing Snowdon, watersports on the lakes to visiting castles and swimming in the sea. There is so much to do in the area, you won’t be bored. But at the same time, that outdoor woodburner and hot tub will make it hard to draw you away from the cottage.
