A truly unique holiday cottage providing luxury group accommodation with sea views on the outskirts of Criccieth. This former boutique hotel has been converted into a spectacular self catering property. Beautiful living rooms, ten gorgeous bedrooms, manicured lawns and a private tennis court will ensure a memorable holiday for you and your friends.
The main hallway as you enter is full of character, as you would expect from such a grand house. Lots of carefully chosen furniture and walls covered in photos, pictures and paintings. From the main hallway, you have access to the kitchen, dinning room, sitting room and the staircase which leads you to the vast array of bedrooms and bathrooms all individually decorated and oozing with character.
Let’s start in the kitchen. A spacious room complete with a lovely traditional Aga. Recently renovated and the space has everything you could wish for (and more) in a kitchen catering for this many people. Moss soft green units with stainless steel fittings, slate floors and a very ergonomic layout makes this the kitchen you always wanted, really.
Leading off from the kitchen is a huge conservatory area with the most incredible views of Criccieth Castle and the sea beyond. In here is a large dining room table which is perfect for breakfast. It is also home to a games room where you’ll find a full size pool table and ping pong table amongst lots of other board games. Everything has been thought of and there is plenty of space for it not to feel cluttered.
Onto the dining room / sitting room. Another great room split in two by an archway. On one half there are 2 dining tables and a drinks bar. The optics are turned off and it’s not stocked for your arrival, but if you want to fill it up and play the ‘pub landlord’ you have everything you need. Through the archway brings you to the sitting room where there are lots of sofa’s and arm chairs making it a really grand but cosy room. A projector TV makes this the perfect place for cinema nights.
Upstairs are nine bedrooms which are made up of a mix of doubles, twins and bunks. The master bedroom has a four poster bed and an ensuite with a shower/steam room. The rooms are really very special. All designed differently with their own names, they are full of great pieces of furniture and voluptuous soft furnishings. Some of the rooms interconnect giving the option of family rooms which is great for those in the group that want to have smaller children near by.
There are 9 bathrooms in total, some ensuite, some communal and again just a beautiful mix of cast iron baths with feet, modern showers and beautiful bathroom ‘stuff’ – each and every room provides you with something different.
It is an incredible place and absolutely everything has been thought of making this a truly unique place to stay.

The drive up to the house passes paddock like fields with horses and great views of the surrounding area. As you come to the house, it has a great feel about it and there is plenty of parking space available. Once you’ve bagseyd your room, dropped off your luggage and explored the house, the outside is just as impressive.
The extensive and beautifully kept lawn looks out to the sea with great views of the bay and Harlech castle across the bay. Whether you want to play football or a game of croquet takes your fancy, you have the space and the facilities to do this. A full size tennis court is located at the bottom of the lawn for anyone who is in the mood for a game.
If you just want to relax, there are sun loungers along with patio tables and chairs all positioned to make the most of the beautiful surroundings. A weber gas BBQ is avaible for guests to use as and when they want.
Criccieth, 1 mile south is a lovely little seaside village with a nice collection of restaurants and pubs. The harbour town of Porthmadog some 3 miles further on provides a wider selection of shops and acts as the gateway to the magnificent mountains of Snowdonia.
5 mile to the west of the house, Pwllheli is very similar in size and character to Porthmadog and is the favoured destination for many of our sailing guests. A little further along on the peninsula, Abersoch continues to be a very fashionable destination among younger visitors to the area.
