Luxury Holiday Cottage with Sea Views in Criccieth | Stabal-Ednyfed

Stabal-Ednyfed is a luxury holiday cottage with sea views in Criccieth, North Wales. Based on a working farm, the cottage has an enormous kitchen, a beautiful lounge and three spacious bedrooms. When you add the location and panoramic views to the mix, the cottage really is the perfect holiday getaway.

LUXURY HOLIDAY COTTAGE WITH SEA VIEWS IN CRICCIETH | STABAL-EDNYFED

There’s an immediate wow factor as you step into the kitchen. An enormous space with high vaulted ceilings and big French doors looking down across the fields towards the sea. Sleek kitchen units sit atop slate floor tiles gently warmed by the under floor heating system whilst a central island with granite work top provides plenty of space for the family to gather at meal times.

The lounge next door is equally spacious but with a softer more relaxed décor. The under floor heating is complimented by a welcoming log burner sitting within a stone inglenook. Plush sofas and soft furnishings sit along side traditional welsh antique furniture and tasteful pictures and ornaments. A TV with Sky is also here.

One of the three bedrooms is on the ground floor; a king sized bed and the adjoining wet room has a large corner bath as well as the open shower. This ground floor layout will naturally work very well for any family members with mobility problems so give grandma and grandad first pick!

Two more bedrooms upstairs. Both superking, one of which can be made into a twin room. Both as perfect as the first. Lovely bedding, exposed oak beams and some really nice decorative touches. These two rooms share a second central bathroom with wc, washbasin and large shower.

Location

This luxury holiday cottage with sea views in Criccieth is that perfect mix of quiet isolation but still just about walking distance to the pub and restaurant. A big patio to the front of the house looks over fields of grazing sheep that roll down to the seaside village of Criccieth just over half a mile away. The patio itself is of course, a perfect venue for alfresco dining or that quiet late evening drink as the sun sets into the sea, but a gentle stroll down into the village provides a really nice choice of restaurants and pubs if you wanted to mingle with the locals and fellow holiday makers. There are a few shops in the village, Idris Café with its freshly baked bread and cakes is a favourite of mine, but if you want a bit more choice a quick 10 minute drive to the East or West along the coast road will bring you to the larger harbour towns of Porthmadog and Pwllheli respectively. Both have a supermarket as well as the usual mix of shops, pubs and more restaurants. If you get bored of the beach there’s lots to do in the area. Paintballing, cross-country Segway rides, animal pet farm, go carting and more are also nearby. Guests should book ahead for larger attractions such as the Zip Wire in Bethesda and the world famous surfing lagoon at Surf Snowdonia. An info pack is sent out automatically to all our guests but drop me an email if you want a copy.

  1. Nigel & Helen says:

We booked Stabal-Ednyfed for a party of 6 but due to the virus restrictions we ended up with just the two of us and our Springer Spaniel (Rowan). We were very lucky that Cricceth wasn’t under additional restrictions and had a great week exploring the countryside and local beaches. We had the warm comfortable and nicely isolated stable to return to. Perfect for dogs with a great enclosed patio and grass area with panoramic views. With the owner (Non) close by and on the end of a phone we felt perfectly safe. This was our second visit and we’re already planning a third.
Thank you for a great stay in these difficult times.

Stunning views gorgeous property, sitting on the patio with a glass of wine looking over Cardigan Bay, could not wish for a better position. Highly recommend the food at Dylan’s on Criccieth beach front and if you don’t mind your food a bit more pubby try the Goat Inn.would definitely recommend this property and the general area. The butcher and the baker, in the town are also very good.

  3. Michael says:

Just an amazing holiday cottage with stunning views. We loved it’s peaceful location whilst still being close to Criccieth.
Ideal for all ages, we have just spent a lovely week at Stabal Ednyfed, It was lovely to meet Non who was so helpful with a few problems we had but were sorted super quick. We would highly recommend this property and we are looking forward to returning very soon. Mike.

Stunning! This would describe the location as we absolutely love North Wales whether it’s Snowdonia’s mountains, Criccieth’s beautiful seaside position or the Llyn, and it also describes Non’s accommodation. It’s the best accommodation we have stayed in in North Wales during our past 2 years’ holidays. It’s simply perfect! Location, quality, cleanliness etc all 5*. We made the most of it with a 6am sunset walk to the Castle, food at Dylan’s, local walks along the river, coastal walks around the Llyn, and it’s beautiful beaches, food in Ty Coch, climbs up The Rivals, and many more. We didn’t want to leave and would return in a heartbeat. Many thanks Non
We are hoping to return to the region in GoMushroom in a month too!
