Luxury Two Bedroom Holiday Cottage with Hot Tub and Sea Views | Y-Ddol

Y-Ddol, a luxury two bedroom holiday cottage with hot tub and sea views is a beautiful, modern barn conversion set in-between Harlech and Barmouth making it perfectly located for exploring Snowdonia. Slate floors and minimalist interior give this holiday cottage an ultra modern feel and the floor to ceiling windows with sea views give it that unique and very special point of difference.

As you come into the open-plan kitchen, diner and sitting room, the vaulted ceilings and chic furniture give a real sense of space. The underfloor heating and log burner provide warmth, and add to the inviting and cosy feel of the cottage. To the far right is the sitting room area where you’ll find the all important sea views along with the log burner, comfortable sofas and large TV. The oversized lampshades and over hanging lamps are a really great touch as are the splashes of colour from the beautiful vases and soft furnishings.

The warm slate tiles continue through into the kitchen dining area and are beautifully complimented by high gloss white kitchen units. A central island adds character as does the wooden lighting beam above it. The dining table and chairs are all in keeping with the rest of the room with their modern minimalistic design.

From the kitchen, we continue through to the bedroom area. A double and a twin; both beautifully finished and the backlit headboards would not look out of place in a swish boutique hotel. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower and continues with the slate grey theme of the rest of the house.

Outside is just as beautiful as inside! The wood burning hot tub is a fantastic feature and looks out onto the fields and the sea beyond. A spacious patio area with barbecue and seating will certainly be a place you locate to during the warm summer evenings and the hot tub will be used throughout the year; even in those colder winter months!

Came back last week from a lovely break here. The property is beautiful and tucked away in a very quiet place. We were beset by rain so did not use the hot tub. The wifi was perfect with no issues. And the welcome back with the Lemon Drizzle cake was superb. I was sad to leave!

  2. Julie Bates says:

We come at least once per year, it’s always comfortable and clean and incredibly quiet. It’s a little gem, don’t tell your friends about it

  3. Stuart McWilliams says:

One of the best family holidays we have had. A beautiful property with everything on the doorstep. Couldn’t fault it – just wish we’d stayed longer!

  4. Aiden Speed says:

We stayed here for 3 nights in march. We really dont have anything other than possitive things to say about the whole stay. The location is great. The views, the layout, the finish of the building. Its all been very well thought out. It was perfect for the dog also with the whole driveway and garden being fenced off. There is also a gate leading into the field next to the property which made it perfect for a quick game of fetch. We really enjoyed our stay, a lovely building in a great location to unwind and relax

  5. Andrew Wilkinson says:

A more perfect spot could not be found to weather Storm Denis. Very comfortable, well-designed and chic. Handy for just about everything – but most of all for unwinding.

  6. Colleen & Mark Jones says:

Just returned from a few days break at this fabulous property. Accommodation was outstanding with such marvellous picturesque views. Being so close to the beach and Barmouth was wonderful with our dog. We would highly recommend this property and especially the homemade lemon drizzle cake provided by the owners

  7. Vanessa Worrall says:

Just back from a week in this lovely property. Very clean, warm and welcoming. We didn’t try the hot tub this time but nice to have the choice. Great base for exploring the area. The train station is a few minutes walk away so we had a day out with no driving involved.
The welcome pack was lovely and a gorgeous lemon cake, thank you Louise!
We would definitely recommend this property.
