The front door leads us into a large open plan living area. Solid wood kitchen units house a modern electric oven, dishwasher, and large fridge freezer. At the other end of the room a round table and simple country cottage dining chairs look out over the surrounding fields and countryside. In the lounge area a comfortable sofa and armchair sit facing a flat screen TV and a welcoming real log burner.

From the lounge, we walk through a ledge and brace door into the ground floor bedroom. Two beds in here, one double bed and one single. Again, everything is spotlessly clean with lots of character features. The adjoining family bathroom has a shower over bath arrangement as well as a washbasin and WC.

The private hot tub outside is a great addition for ensuring you make the most of your rest and relaxation while staying here.

A short drive to the east will bring you to Cwm Pennant and the Nantlle Ridge and then Snowdon itself. In the other direction the beaches and coves of the peninsula are a favorite of lots of our summer guests. The ever popular Abersoch as well as the market town and sailing harbor of Pwllheli attract thousands of visitors every year. We’d suggest also exploring quieter locations like Aberdaron, Porth Dinllaen and Criccieth.

Popular local attractions include the petting farm near Chwilog, Ffestiniog narrow gauge railway, Glasfryn Adventure Park and numerous castles and historical sites. Many adventure sports are also popular. Coasteering, zip lining, sailing and white water rafting along with many others can all be enjoyed nearby.

Fantastic cottage and great owners. Good, quiet location

We arrived on a rather wet and windy day and began to question the wisdom of staying in a pigsty during a period of inclement weather. However, once the wood-burner was lit and the tea poured we started to slow down and experience the peace and tranquility that exudes from every aspect of the farm.

As the weather progressively brightened so did our spirits. We spent our days touring the peninsular and managed to visit most of the recommended places. The landscape is stunning and everyone so friendly.

One day we visited the Welsh Village, Nant Gwrtheyrn, and did the coastal walk. This is well worth seeing and not far from the farm. Having spent rather a long time climbing up and up, we were rewarded with absolutely amazing views. From there we climbed down and down to our car and drove back for a soak in the hot tub.

This is where is all came together. A good day out and then a pummelling by Welsh bubbles as we watched the sun set over the farm roof whilst being serenaded by the Twlc-Dyrus Ovine Voice Choir. That was a magic moment.

Evan and Kathryn are lovely hosts and seem to be on the go all the time. They are very knowledgeable and can give you lots of information about the place. There is also a wide range of literature in the Twlc from the tourist board for you to peruse.

The cottage was really warm and very comfortable and all that we needed. Having spent one summer holiday in a French converted barn, where they had forgotten to do any conversion, I am somewhat parsimonious with my compliments when not warranted. Here Kathryn and Evan deserve all the accolades that they get. They have done a wonderful job on converting the properties and ensuring that the integrity of the farm remains.

I would definitely consider returning, whatever the weather.

We had a lovely stay here. We really enjoyed the location, a great spot to explore the Llyn Peninsula. We also found the cottage very comfortable with everything that we needed. Our daughter enjoyed the trampoline and table tennis. We enjoyed the spa facilities which was very relaxing after a day exploring the coastal paths!
A very warm welcome by the owners and we will be returning at some point in the future. Many thanks xx

  4. Andrew says:

Had a really good family break, feeding the lambs was the highlight for us and would definitely recommend, we will definitely be coming back soon.

  5. Linzi Matthews says:

What a beautiful stay we had here which started with a plate full of cakes being brought in to us! Our little boy was delighted with the real tractors and the shed full of pedal tractors, go karts etc and we were delighted with the hot tub and treatments. Llanbedrog beach and Abersoch were just gorgeous and only a short drive away. We were made to feel very at home here. Will definitely return!

  6. Charles says:

Lovely little cottage, very warm and nice and quiet.
Great for getting away from it all.

Owners very friendly and welcoming, although would have been nice if we’d been told how the setup operated e.g. hot water, spa.

Could do with a few more household consumables to prevent you having to bring your entire kitchen and bathroom with you.

But overall a lovely stay and would happily come back.

  7. Chantal Gianni says:

Gorgeous wee cottage perfectly located for the coast and local attractions. Spotlessly clean and comfortable.
Wifi signal not great and very intermittent.
Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay.
