One Bedroom Holiday Cottage With Hot Tub | Tygwair-Wen
This one bedroom holiday cottage with hot tub set in rural North Wales is part of a beautifully converted farm outbuilding with uninterrupted views over the Berwyn Mountains. Tygwair-Wen itself is the smallest of three-holiday cottages – bright and cosy at the same time, it’s a great place to get your rest and relaxation.
The original entrance to this haybarn with its curved brick lintel set within a granite wall makes an immediate impression as you arrive. A second entrance from the 1st-floor bedroom opens out onto some stone steps that lead guests to a private outside sitting area.
Downstairs is an open plan kitchen and sitting room. With big chairs to relax in and neutral colours, it has everything you need for your stay here and certainly has that cosy factor to help with your time out. The high gloss kitchen units give it a modern feel and the breakfast bar is a lovely place to sit at to look out of those windows whilst having your breakfast.
Upstairs is the bedroom with a double bed and ensuite shower room. Plush carpets and soft furnishings make this room feel very relaxing and the whitewashed feature walls give it that country feel against the more modern furniture and bathroom fittings.

Whilst you are rural here, you are also located in between Bala and Betws Y Coed – two of the larger Snowdonia towns. This is perfect for being able to have a variety of things to do within a relatively short drive. Bala is an old market town and where you’ll find Llyn Tegid. Lots of sailing, kayaking and windsurfing to be done here. The famous National White Water Centre is a 15-minute drive away and with its dam controlled rapids, the no 1 place in the UK to give the sport a go. There are many famous walks in the area and the Bala Lake railway if you want to take in the area by steam train.
Betws Y Coed is a 20-minute drive North and home to the Swallow Falls – the largest waterfall in Wales. A little further down the road is The Fairy Glen which is a beautiful gorge. Mountain biking and walking are all plentiful here and Betws Y Coed is also famous for its great selection of cafes and restaurants as well as its outdoor clothing specialists. You’ll also find lots of great gift shops.
Surf Snowdonia, Zip World and Portmeirion Village are all within an hours drive for you. You are very much on the doorstep to enjoy everything Snowdonia has to offer.
