Felin-Pennarth is a romantic one bedroom cottage walking distance from the beach. The elevated outside space, giving you seclusion and incredible views makes this a very unique property where you feel you have got away from it all.
This property is great. Up a flight of stairs, it’s a loft conversion in the eaves. The Kitchen dinner and sitting room are all located in a galley like room and with a modern conversion and accompanying furniture it feels light and airy.
The sitting room section is carpeted with comfy seating and a wooden table which links well with the exposed beams above. The dining section again brings in the wooden furniture and the kitchen is modern with stainless steel units.
The bedroom is home to a double bed and links in well with the rest of the cottage with modern pieces of furniture but with a slightly warmer colour palette; the ensuite bathroom has a shower, WC and washbasin; white tiles and chrome finishes throughout.
The show stopper of this cottage is the balcony that leads out from the sitting room. Raised high above ground, you feel like you are a million miles from everywhere. It is just beautiful. Sitting here and having your morning coffee or evening drink could not be better.

Location
Felin-Pennarth is located in the village of Aberdesach at the base of the Llyn Peninsula in rural North Wales. The village boasts a beautiful beach with an iconic view of the Yr-Eifl mountains just south of Dinas Dinlle. This particular area is steeped in the legends of the Welsh folklore tales of the Mabinogion and is thought to be the location of the story of Dylan.
Pwllheli, some 10 minutes to the south, has a lovely marina and a selection of shops, cafes and pubs. They have a regular market by the harbour and the new sailing and events centre, Plas Heli, is a great place if you are interested in learning to sail.
Caernarfon to the north is home to the famous castle of course. The Galeri theatre is worth checking out and Pant Du vineyard is a great place to go for a bit of wine tasting. Childrens activities, including Gypsy Wood and Greenwood, are just a short drive away and are fantastic days out.

A 6 night stay in this beautiful, well-furnished, barn conversion, could not be spoiled by the weather, although we did not have the chance to use the balcony!!
Mine host, Gareth, was a lovely man who was a font of knowledge of all things in the area, and beyond.
The location is ideal and the cottage wants for nothing. Gareth keeps a well maintained farm, which does not in any way detract from the feel of the holiday – in fact it adds to it.
I can say that this cottage has been earmarked for a return visit. That should be enough of a recommendation.
We had a lovely week in this cottage. It’s perfectly located for visiting Snowdonia and Porthmadog area. It was comfortable, bigger than I expected with a great balcony overlooking farmland and the sea. Gareth is a great host, helpful but not obtrusive. Great walks and a beautiful beach all close by.
Just finished a lovely week here. Absolutely loved it, Gareth was an amazing host and the cottage was lovely. Ideal location for exploring the north west of Wales. Would definitely love to come back in the future
Just returned from a fabulous week . The cottage was immaculate & so well equipped. Thank you for the welcome hamper! Everything was superb. Such lovely views& very quiet. From the moment that we arrived Gareth made us so very welcome, always found time for a chat . Loved it when he showed us around his farm .He is the perfect host! Would highly recommend, hope to return one day.
What a gem of a cottage! Brilliant view from the balcony, and Gareth is super friendly and full of helpful tips.It is only a very short walk down to the down to the sea to see the beautiful sunset. The cottage is very dog friendly with even a water bowl in the entrance hall.
best dioni cottage so far
everything you need for a relaxing break.
lovely beach just across the main road.
gareth really is so nice.
thank you.
this was our second visit and not the last.
This really is a gem of a cottage. It’s central location makes it an ideal base to visit the Llyn Peninsula, Anglesey and Snowdonia. We were blessed with great weather when we visited and the balcony attached to the cottage was a great place to eat and take in the stunning scenery. Gareth was a fantastic host and we will definitely return.
We were thrilled to have discovered this delightful farm cottage, and will definitely be staying here again as often as we can. The location is ideal, either as a base from which to explore and visit, or simply to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. With easy access to so many different places of interest, yet completely peaceful and protected from the hustle and bustle of the busier towns, this has to be one of the best situated properties we’ve stayed at. The facilities, furnishing and decor are ideal and so comfortable, all presented and maintained to a very high standard. Gareth’s warm, friendly welcome and helpful guidance were most welcome. We can’t wait to be back!
we have just returned from a fantastic week’s holiday staying at Felin Pennarth. The cottage was so comfortable with every thin we could ask for, and Gareth was so helpful with great advice about where to go. We highly recommend this great cottage and will be returning again to enjoy another week in this beautiful countryside.
Lovely, immaculate, spacious cottage for 2 people in a great location. Beautifully furnished and decorated, a real home from home. Peaceful area with Caenarfon and Pwllheli in easy reach. Great balcony which was lovely to sit on in the sunshine with a cup of tea after a day sightseeing. Friendly welcome by Gareth. Highly recommend.
A true welcome from Gareth who runs an excellent farm, is a charming man and has provided a first class holiday home. We had a comfortable enjoyable week in a calm and beautiful environment and would definitely wish to return at some future date. I don’t give out star ratings easily but this definitely rates the full 5.
We had a fantastic time at the cottage! It is the first place we have stayed where we can say with confidence that we will definitely be coming back next time we’re on holiday in Snowdonia. Gareth’s farm is a great place to be – so peaceful and quiet, with both sea and mountain views. The cottage is fully equipped with everything that is needed, it is modern but still retained its original features – a truly lovely and relaxing place to be. Gareth was a fantastic host, very kind, helpful and friendly. We even got a little tour of the farm which we greatly enjoyed. The location is great for access to beaches both on the Llyn peninsula and over in Anglesey, the Snowdon mountain range isn’t all that far either and there is a big Tesco a 12 min drive from the house which was very helpful. We loved staying here! Thanks Gareth.
Perfectly formed perfectly located perfectly spotless.
We had a brilliant few days exploring this beautiful richly varied area. Won’t be long before we return. And Gareth is a .
Happy days.
Booked this last minute to take advantage of the great February weather. We were not disappointed by the weather or by the cottage. Extremely clean and well kept. Lovely views from the balcony too. Gareth the owner very friendly and helpful. This was our second booking with Dioni and very impressed with their service and quality of accommodation.
Just one tiny negative, the mattress was a wee bit lumpy, but a good mattress topper would probably solve that.
A lovely peaceful cottage and would not hesitate to return .
Thanks very much for your kind comments about the property. So glad you were lucky with the glorious weather in February!
Mattress topper bought ready for your next visit!
Thanks
Luned
Our stay at Hen Felin was excellent, a very comfortable place to stay and a great location with so many places to visit within an easy drive. Even though it was winter we still made good use of the balcony, wrapping up warm and going stargazing. Gareth was the perfect host with great knowledge of places to explore in the area,
Ssssh – can you keep a secret – this little cottage is a gem. it’s just lovely, convenient, comfy, beautifully furnished and fitted and to cap it all you get a super warm welcome and Gareth is wonderfully informative. But don’t tell too many, it’s just so special.
We had a wonderful relaxing break. One of our best for chilling out. Lovely walks locally. The cottage was superb, so clean and comfortable and also very well equipped. Gareth was so helpful and lovely to chat to. Will definitely be going back. Also we were lucky with the weather.
We have just returned from staying in Hen Felin which we booked as a last minute break over New Year, we chose it after reading the many positive reviews on Dioni website and we were not disappointed. The cottage is stunning, absolutely one of the best cottages we have stayed in, the workmanship and attention to detail was excellent and I would have no hesitation in recommending it. It was lovely to meet Gareth the owner who was on hand should we have needed anything.
The welcome box of goodies was delicious and much appreciated. Fingers crossed it is not too long until we can return.
Brilliant service from all the ladies at Dioni. this was a last minute booking and all the staff were very helpful and understanding. Felin-Pannarth is a quiet pretty barn conversion on a working farm from which we work the dogs just up the path and around all the stunning countryside. Ideal for the beach, mountains and Snowdonia the location was brilliant. The barn conversion was lovely and warm, facilities were good. After a days walking there was nothing better than lounging on the sofa’s looking out onto the stunning views. THANKYOU x
We’ve just spent a glorious 5 nights in the cottage and neither of us wanted to leave! The cottage has everything you need and Gareth is more than happy to stop and chat and provide helpful information on the surrounding area! Enough said though ‘cos if we make it sound too good we’ll never get back in!!! Bev & Paul
Gareth very welcoming, friendly and informative. Lovely clean cottage, spacious lounge/kitchen, comfortable bed, great views onto the farm pastures, solid WiFi connection. 10 minutes walk to the beach. Good place to relax or as a base to explore the Llyn area. Recommended.
This is a beautifully tasteful cottage with wonderful views and a sense of peace and quiet. The owner is very friendly. The cottage is ideally situated both for Snowdonia and the Llyn Peninsula.
this has been our best cottage from dioni so far, the pictures don’t do it justice.brilliant location, amazing views and gareth was brilliant.this is one cottage where I would go back to.
This barn conversion is very cosy and also well designed and decorated. It has all you need for a mini break or full week. The balcony is wonderful and has great views of the fields, mountains and down to the sea. It’s the perfect place if you want peace and quiet and we loved our week there ! Gareth is very friendly and welcoming.
What a find…. a lovely cottage..peace and quiet, views just lovely.Gareth is very knowledgeable and interesting.Great welcome hamper. We visited most places up and down the coast but would like to return one day..The pub in Clynnog-fawr isn’t really a pub, just a licenced bed and breakfast,no meals just open to non residents some evenings. We did eat at the Black Boy in Caernarfon, serving food all day (good).Fantastic shower !
Thank you, Gareth for a wonderful week in your beautiful property
our stay was perfect and your knowledge of the area and its history and attractions invaluable.
Farming is a hard-working profession but you never failed to wish us a good morning or have an interesting conversation with us.
I can’t wait until we visit your beautiful part of the world again in September.

What a lovely find, a beautiful well appointed cottage, spotless, modern and homely with countryside and sea views. Super private balcony was used daily, many cappuccinos were enjoyed while watching the amazing sunsets! Hope to return one day, thanks Gareth.
The accommodation at Felin-Pennarth was absolutely outstanding, very clean, modern & equipped with all the essential. Gareth has made us feel very welcome & surrounding area is just beautiful – very tranquil, with a lovely beach very close to the house. It has been a wonderful holiday & highly recommend the place. Really hope to be able to return again, especially as my dog has also been made to feel so welcome!! Also loved the welcome hamper – very nice touch!! 🙂
Highly recommend this property and will return. First class in every way with fantastic view from first floor lounge. Very friendly owner on the farm. Furnishings excellent with good quality kitchen equipment. Five stars don’t even get near
Our second stay at this barn conversion and I’m sure it won’t be our last. Beautiful views from the balcony, very peaceful and quiet. Top marks for accomendation. Gareth the owner very welcoming and always on hand for giving information on the area.
Wonderful stay, well designed warm snug yet light and spacious cottage. Lovely walks and beach, great location – Gareth very friendly and knowledgeable, (some great chats about the farm, very interesting) thanks for a lovely stay in North Wales 🙂
We spent a wonderful long weekend in Felin-Pennarth. The cottage was of a very high standard. Very cosy and very romantic as the views were to die for. Gareth was a very friendly and knowledable guy who gave us tips on places to go. Would definately return. We are sure your new project of a games room will be of a high standard also.
Ideal location for quite relaxing break Gareth is very amicable and we would definetly return there in the future only one thing in the minus box and maybe it,s me but I could not find a light switch upstairs to turn the ground floor on???
Great Stay, amazing location and very welcoming host.
Thanks again
A fantastic week in a superb cottage. Furnished to a really high standard. It was lovely to sit on the balcony watching the birds, farm animals & sea. A lovely dog friendly beach is a 5 minute walk away & we would often have the beach to ourselves. Gareth was there to greet us & is very friendly & knowledgeable (even gave us some apples from his trees).Highly recommended for a relaxing break.
We enjoyed a relaxing week at Pennarth surrounded by beautiful views of the sea, fields, trees and mountains. The weather was lovely so we spent evenings on the balcony watching swallows and swifts. Highly recommended!
Pennarth is a fantastic cottage with everything you could possibly need. Interior decor is of a very high standard, lovely balcony leading from lounge for those evening gin & tonics. We have just spent our first visit at Pennarth but it will not be our last. The cottage, which sits on a working farm is of a very high standard with all the mod cons you could possibly need and the interior decor is of the same standard. The views from the balcony were to die for, so peaceful and quiet (can’t wait to go back). The cottage is ideally situated for exploring the coast line with its many places of interest and the surrounding country side.
