This rural three bedroom holiday cottage near Bala is a beautiful barn conversion with stunning views of the mountains and rolling hills. One of three-holiday cottages, Llaethdy-Wen is one of the bigger ones. A three bedroom modern conversion sleeping 6, it is bright, colourful and beautifully converted. Llaethdy-Wen is a fabulous place to stay to enjoy Snowdonia.
A traditional stone building, the use of bright colours for the interiors adds to the bright and cheerful feel to the cottage as soon as you walk through the door. Great outdoor spaces and fully equipped games room ensure that a holiday here will not disappoint.
Downstairs, the floor is tiled throughout. Two sitting rooms are located on the ground floor. The main one is part of the large open plan kitchen-diner and sitting room area. With floor to ceiling glass doors which look out over the incredible surrounding landscape, this is a great room and the wood stove adds to the warmth. Bold colours both on the walls and with the furniture give the whole room a very modern feel and it works well. The second sitting room is more of a snug type set up where if you have kids in the mix, it’s a great way for everyone to have their space and downtime.
The kitchen is open plan – high gloss units and a simple layout with everything you need to cater for your group. A large bar style dining table connected to the kitchen units makes this a very sociable space and ensures whoever is on cooking duty won’t be far from the fun.
Two bedrooms are located on the ground floor; a twin and a double. Both have great quality furniture and bedding and the double bedroom benefits from an ensuite wet room. The family bathroom is also found on the ground floor with a tub style bath, separate shower and beautiful slate floors.
Upstairs in an ensuite double room – again good quality furniture which feels luxurious. The ensuite has a WC and washbasin.
