Tanrhiw is a three bedroom holiday cottage near Zip World. A former quarry man’s cottage, this cute, traditional stone cottage is perfectly placed to explore Snowdonia. Light and airy inside, with a rustic, modern feel, it’s a lovely place to enjoy a holiday in North Wales.
As you come into the property, the sitting room is immediately on your right. The use of light colours makes the most of the room making it feel spacious. The rustic pieces of furniture dotted around give it that quaint, cottage feel.
The kitchen is towards the back of the cottage. Slate tiles and modern cream units results in a clean and workable space. The dining room table and chairs along with the traditional church pew gives it the character you would associate with a cottage of this era. Everything you need to cater for your group is here and plenty of space for everyone to enjoy meals together at the end of a busy day exploring.
The main bathroom is past the kitchen at the very back of the house. A shabby chic feel with both a shower and bath along with a WC and washbasin.
Upstairs takes you to the bedrooms. Two doubles and one twin. All have a different look, but as with the rest of the house, a mix of modern and shabby chic / rustic feel make them all really inviting and peaceful rooms to get your holiday rest and relaxation in.
At the end of the garden is a lovely summer house. With full length, glass french doors that open out onto a raised patio area, you have great views of the mountains beyond the village. Complete with sofas and chairs, it is the perfect place to sit in the evening and have a drink or two.

Caernarfon is a little further down the road where, along with the castle, there are lots of great restaurants and cafes to enjoy on the harbour. Greenwood Forest Parc is also located here if you have smaller ones in the mix.
